Letter of Thanks

The Friends of Choate Park (FOCP) would like to sincerely thank all those involved in helping our group run the concessions and Santa photos at this year's Holiday Parade and Fireworks. We want to clarify that the Medway Santa Parade and Fireworks are a yearly town tradition that is organized by the Medway Business Counsel & Medway Fire Association and not our group as was originally posted in several newspapers. Thanks to their hard work the parade and the amazing display of fireworks over Choate Pond have been brought to Medway for the past 15 years.

Since our inception three years ago, FOCP has run a busy concession stand at Choate Park, offering hot cocoa, cider and cookies to crowds viewing the impressive fireworks display over Choate Pond.

This year, FOCP also offered photos with Santa, thanks to Mr. Bigelow and professional photographer Eileen Nelson without whom the photo fundraiser would not be possible.

Thank you to those who took a tag from the Giving Tree at the concession building. Those presents will go to help families in Medway this holiday season. Please remember to drop off your unwrapped items to town hall by December 12th.

A sincere thank you to all who purchased concessions or Santa photos to support Choate Park and thanks to the dedicated FOCP members, their family and friends, and to corporate donors Whole Foods, Hannafords, Star Market, and Starbucks for their community support and product donations.

All net proceeds raised are helping bring us closer to granting the items on the Choate Park wish list: a gazebo, new playground equipment, new playground fencing and benches.

We especially thank all Medway residents who have supported this year’s FOCP events and helped make future improvements possible for all to enjoy.

Happy holidays!
